That matters less than the second thing, which is that the advertised price is not the price. Go Ballistic sell a full day at Henfield for £39.99 including 500 paintballs, then state on the same page that average usage is around 600, with extras at £8 per hundred. Their own numbers turn £39.99 into roughly £48 before anyone gets carried away.

This is the Henfield wood behind several prominent “paintball Brighton” pages. Fifty acres of West Sussex woodland at the foot of the South Downs, five game zones, open seven days a week from 9am to 4pm, with evening games from 5pm to 9pm between May and September. Go Ballistic market it as under ten minutes from the city centre and just off the A23, while South Coast and Demolition give the address as the A281 near Henfield, so use the directions that come with your booking.
It is marketed directly under two names, South Coast Paintball and Demolition Paintball. Their pages carry the same 50-acre description, the same opening hours and the same game zones, and both booking buttons route to the same South Coast FareHarbor account. That establishes a shared booking operation rather than proving anything about company ownership. South Coast’s Instagram handle is, straightforwardly, brightonpaintball.
On top of that, national booking brands sell the same wood. Go Ballistic list it as “Brighton (Henfield)”. UK Paintball and Paintballing.co.uk publish the same postcode and the same named zones, Plane Crash, The Bridge and Rocket Launcher among them. Bedlam list it too, though their page describes a 15-acre site where South Coast, Demolition and Go Ballistic all say 50, so their figure sits at odds with the rest.
These are booking pages rather than separate venues. Several Brighton-branded listings point at the same postcode and the same game zones, so ringing round for a better price is mostly ringing the same field. Compare packages and booking terms instead.
South Coast’s own pages currently show different prices in different places, with the homepage, the half-day page and the full-day page all quoting different figures. Check the live booking item rather than trusting a single advertised range.
Delta Force at Crawley Is Closed
Worth knowing because it still ranks. Delta Force’s Crawley centre, which their page places just off the M23 on the outskirts of Crawley, still appears in Brighton paintball searches and still displays prices, game zones and a day itinerary. At the top of that page it says the centre is temporarily closed, and directs customers to Orpington instead.
Delta Force point customers to their Orpington centre instead, which is a long way east. If you land on the Crawley page, check the closure notice before planning around it.
A separate Go Ballistic listing at Crawley remains active, at RH10 3PD near Copthorne. Its Pay As You Play package starts at £7.50 with a minimum age of 10, low impact is available from 8, and the site has showers, parking for 50 and free tea and coffee. Do not confuse the two.
What a Day Actually Costs
This is the part that matters most when comparing packages.
A package normally covers entry, a marker, a mask, overalls and marshals. The paintball allocation is what varies, and it is what decides your bill. Some packages include none at all, others include 100, 300 or 500. Go Ballistic’s current Henfield packages are the clearest illustration because they publish both halves of the equation:

The Copthorne listing shows the other end of the model. Its £7.50 Pay As You Play package states plainly that paintballs are not usually included and must be bought on the day, quoting the same 300 and 500 averages. A £7.50 ticket is an entry fee, not a day out.
None of that makes paintball poor value. Fifty pounds for a full day outdoors with all the equipment is reasonable. But budget from the paintball allocation rather than the entry price, agree a spend as a group before you arrive, and know that topping up at the counter mid-morning is how the bill grows. That is worth doing properly for larger stag do activities, where a few pounds a head multiplies fast.

Every active site here is outside Brighton. Go Ballistic put Henfield at under ten minutes from the city centre, and the other sites are further. Go Ballistic warn that their sites can be hard to find from the postcode alone and that full directions come with the booking receipt, so use those rather than a satnav guess.
Age limits differ by site and by activity. Standard paintball at Henfield is 10 and over, with low impact available from 8. Other Sussex sites set their own limits, and at least one Go Ballistic venue sets standard paintball at 12, so check the specific package before booking a mixed-age birthday group rather than assuming they match.
Wear old clothes, strong footwear and gloves. Demolition recommend exactly that, including thin woollen gloves, and supply camouflage overalls, goggles and a marker. Do not assume gloves are sold on site unless the operator says so.
Standard and low impact are different equipment. South Coast’s Mini Splatmaster uses a lightweight JT Z200 marker firing small .50-calibre low-impact paintballs for ages 8 to 10, and Go Ballistic describe their low impact kit as smaller and lighter than standard. If someone in the group is nervous about the impact, ask the operator what to expect rather than booking the standard session and hoping.
